Volunteer Opportunity: Citizen Science Day

8:30 AM SOLANO LAND TRUST — Solano Land Trust Properties Help plant native plants! We will be planting the western most project site on Middle Valley Trail where we planted and installed irrigation last year. This site has over 100 successful trees and shrubs from last winter's planting. We will be adding another 75 plants this year. Ages 12 and up are welcome. Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Tools are provided. This site is about a mile's hike from the parking lot. Expect to dig and bend, walk on slopes and on uneven ground. Bring a backpack with plenty of water and snacks, sturdy work gloves, eye protection (e.g., sunglasses), boots or sturdy closed-toe shoes with tread for rough, steep, and slippery terrain, long, sturdy pants and layered clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and protection from the elements (sun, wind, fog, rain).Optional: bug repellent, your favorite gardening tools, and binoculars to enjoy the birds!
