BENICIA STATE PARKS ASSOCIATION —  Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden
We meet every Saturday from 9:30-11:30am in the Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden located at the Benicia State Park Recreation Area for planting, weeding, and tending. Parking is free on Saturday Volunteer Days. Tell the Gate Attendant that you are going into the Park to work at the Garden.

SOLANO LAND TRUST & SOLANO COUNTY PARKS —  Lynch Canyon Open Space Park
Solano Land Trust and Solano County Parks welcome the public to join docent Jim Hanser for a weekend hike at Lynch Canyon. You will explore and learn about the human history and phenomenal plant and wildlife diversity of Lynch Canyon. Come enjoy Lynch Canyon’s 1,039 acres of rolling grasslands, pond and oak woodlands with your family and friends. The hike can range from 4-7 miles. Pre-registration recommended. Out of the Dark: Demystifying Bats   Saturday,  JAN  27, 2018

RUSH RANCH EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL —  Rush Ranch Nature Center
Join the Rush Ranch Educational Council in welcoming back the “Bat Lady” Corky Quirk, as she dispels the myths surrounding the much maligned and misunderstood mammals: bats. Corky, along with a few of her bewitching bat friends, will make their appearance in the Rush Ranch Nature Center for just one day-so mark your calendars now! Corky is the founder & Executive Director of Northern CA Bats, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, & release of bats. The program is free but donations are gratefully accepted. Space is limited so come early. It will last about 1 hour.
