9:00 AM SOLANO LAND TRUST Rockville Trails Preserve Join a fall hike in the oak woodlands this Columbus Day holiday. Enjoy views of Solano's valleys, the delta and Mt. Diablo. Hikers should expect a moderate pace with occasional stops, hiking 4-6 miles up and down rugged, steep and slippery hills through the oak woodlands and grasslands. Register online. Our late city councilman, Matt Garcia, was a young man with a vision. With the help of generous individuals and companies, our foundation has been able to raise the essential funds needed in "Keeping the Dream Alive." Green Valley Falls Hike

10:00 AM SIERRA CLUB -- SOLANO GROUP Green Valley Falls Take advantage of a rare opportunity to experience the seasonal Green Valley Falls, located on land accessible only with special permission. Trail is over uneven ground, mostly level, but with a steep 500' elevation gain at the end. Bring sturdy shoes, water, hat, sunscreen, and a snack. Total trip time estimated to be 3 hours. Possible snake and poison oak encounters. The hike is limited to 30 persons 14 and older. Persons under 18 must be with a parent. Due to processing fees imposed by the City of Vallejo, we are asking for a donation of $7 per person. Class: M-4-A. Carpools: Meet at 10am. By reservation only by Oct. 5. Rain cancels.
