BENICIA STATE PARKS ASSOCIATION —  Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden
We meet every Saturday from 9:30-11:30am in the Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden located at the Benicia State Park Recreation Area for planting, weeding, and tending. Parking is free on Saturday Volunteer Days. Tell the Gate Attendant that you are going into the Park to work at the Garden.

GVRD —  McIntyre Ranch
Bring the family for activities and learn how the garden grows from seeds to fruits. Participants will share ideas on what to plant, will be allowed to harvest and take home the fruits from the garden. For more information contact the Coordinator at 648-4552. Cost: $10/class resident, $12/class nonresident. Pre-registration is required, and can be completed online.

Halloween Parade   Saturday,  OCT  31, 2015

SUISUN CITY FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION —  Old Town Suisun
For more than 50 years, the Halloween Parade & Costume Contest sponsored by the Suisun City Firefighters Association has been the community's focal point for Halloween festivities. The Parade will start at corner of Driftwood Drive and Main Street across from Harbor Center and end at Harbor Plaza. This year's schedule: 2:30 pm -- Line up, registation and judging starts; 3:00 pm -- Parade down Main Street starts. Prizes awarded by age category. This is a rain or shine event. Merchants Trick or Treat follows the parade. Visit participating Waterfront District businesses marked by a jack-o'-lantern on a stick for a special holiday treat. Sponsored by the Suisun City Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District. For more information, call 707-421-7205.

2nd Annual Nightmare on Glenn Street   Saturday,  OCT  31, 2015

Trick-or-Treat! Come join us at Children’s Wonderland Park on Halloween for the 2nd Annual “Nightmare on Glenn Street,” a family friendly night of trick-or-treating! Parents and children of all ages will be able to enjoy trick-or-treating in a safe and secure environment, try your luck at escaping from the hay bale maze and take a stroll through a haunted house, if you dare! The fun starts at 4:00pm and lasts until 7:00pm! Trick-or-Treat at 6:00pm. This event is absolutely free and includes entrance to the park, hay maze, haunted house and trick-or-treating in the park.
