Turkey Walk-Off & Leftovers-4-Lunch Hike   Friday,  NOV  25, 2016
10:00 AM

BAY AREA RIDGE TRAIL COUNCIL —  Rockville Trails Preserve
Remember the day AFTER Thanksgiving? Not into Black Friday shopping? Had enough TV football? Kids need wiggle-time? Nothing to do or offer your out-of-town guests? What to do with the leftovers? Bring Thanksgiving leftovers, family and visitors, and let’s get outdoors and explore a hidden corner of Solano County. Choose to #OptOutside on Black Friday! Enjoy Rockville Trails Preserve on this hike with docent Steve Pressley. The hike will be from 3 ˝ to 4 hours long through grass and oak woodlands with views of Suisun Bay. The terrain at Rockville Trails Preserve is difficult. Ages 8 and up are welcome, but those with health, breathing, or balance issues should consider an easier hike. Participants on this hike must be prepared for the following: A moderate to strenuous pace hiking 4 to 6 miles up and down slippery, steep, and rugged hills that may be full of sticky seeds and thorny plants. Expect rough, rocky, uneven ground. Some travel may be off-trail. Preregistration is strongly recommended online. Rain may cancel. Call Steve at 707-980-3152 if the weather is uncertain.
Leader: Steve Pressley
Location: Fairfield
DIRECTIONS: Meet promptly at the big red "Ice House" building on Suisun Valley Ct, near the intersection of Rockville Rd and Suisun Valley Rd, Fairfield, CA. Be ready to immediately carpool or caravan from there to the trailhead.
