9:00 AM TULEYOME — Stebbins Cold Canyon This moderately difficult to difficult hike starts as part of the Stebbins Cold Canyon loop. After reaching the top of the ridge, Annie’s Trail continues south to Tuleyome’s Cold Canyon Head Waters property. The 7.5 mile (roundtrip) hike begins by following the creek that shapes Cold Canyon, passes an old homestead, then climbs to the top of the ridge. Through mostly chaparral, the trail is steep in some sections but the view from Annie’s Rock is worth the effort. On clear days, Snow Mountain, 100 miles to the north, can be seen as well as the the Sierras to the east and possibly Mt. Lassen. Please dress for the weather with sturdy hiking boots. Please bring snacks, lunch, and plenty of water. For more information or to RSVP, check online. For questions, contact Nate. Studies have found that children who spend time exploring nature are more focused and interested in school. Bring a snack, water and your curiosity! Second Saturday of the month.
