9:00 AM GVRD — McIntyre Ranch Ages 4-14 -- The McIntyre Ranch is home to several different habitats, farm animals and an educational garden. Studies have found that children who spend time exploring nature are more focused and interested in school. Bring a snack, water and your curiosity! Second Saturday of the month. 9:30 AM PUTAH CREEK COUNCIL — Lake Solano County Park Join Putah Creek Council in a day of planting native plants at Lake Solano Park! We'll be planting native trees, shrubs, and forbs in the day use area to provide wildlife habitat and erosion control. Native plants improve water quality, habitat for birds, small mammals, and beneficial insects, and help prevent soil erosion. Please prepare for the weather and variable conditions by bringing water, wearing sturdy shoes, and dressing in layers. We provide all the tools and supplies, including gloves. We'll be meeting at 9:30 am and work until noon. Please dress appropriately for the weather in clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. Don't forget your water bottle! If you are under 18, you MUST bring this completed liability form with a parent's signature. This event will happen rain or shine! Putah Creek Council will bring ponchos and mud boots if necessary.
