Family Campout at McIntyre Ranch

6:30 PM GVRD — McIntyre Ranch Join us for an old-fashioned campout! Bring your tent, bedrolls, and a willingness to participate and have fun! Pitch your tent, enjoy dinner, and roast marshmallows. Enjoy a professional recreation staff that will make your experience a great time in the outdoors. Begins Friday, May 15 at 6:30PM and runs until Saturday, May 16 at 10AM. One adult plus one child is $30; each additional family member is $12. This event is limited to 50 participants. Each child must be accompanied by a responsible adult over 21 years of age. Dinner, breakfast, and campfire s'mores are included. For more information, contact the GVRD main office at 707-648-4600. Entrance Fee: $30 Registration is required. Food will be available. 7:30 PM RUSH RANCH EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL AND SOLANO LAND TRUST — Rush Ranch Don't miss a Rush Ranch stargazing event led by local astronomy enthusiast, Jim Jerrell, who will share his 30+ years of celestial knowledge. The evening begins at 7:30 pm with a short presentation in the Rush Ranch Nature Center. Outdoor viewing begins when darkness falls. Telescopes will be on hand. Personal scopes & binoculars are welcome, but be familiar with their setup and use. Mosquito repellant and warm clothing layers are a must. Children are welcome, but must remain supervised at all times. In order to preserve night vision, flashlights should be covered with red cellophane, and all latecomers should dim their headlights.
