Practice Run for the Annual Trail Run   Saturday,  MAY  23, 2015
9:00 AM

SOLANO LAND TRUST —  Lynch Canyon
Volunteer Jim Hanser is leading this practice run/jog/walk-run in preparation for the 8th Annual Lynch Canyon Trail Run & Community Hike on June 6. The route of this practice run/jog/walk-run will depend on the group's interests, the conditions of the trails, and the weather. Jim's plan is to do the 10K route, 5K route, or some combination. Route maps are available online. Participants must be prepared to run/jog/walk-run on rough, rocky, uneven ground. The route includes rugged, steep, and slippery hills that are full of sticky seeds and thorny plants. Jim will orient participants at the beginning. The size of the group and the pace of participants will determine if the group stays together or if participants run/jog/walk-run on their own. This is a working ranch where free-range cattle roam as they please. There is no drinking water. There is one bathroom, located in the parking lot. In order to protect wildlife, cattle, and rare plants—and for your pet's safety—dogs are not allowed. Maintain a safe distance from cattle and wildlife, and be aware that this is tick, mountain lion, and potentially rattlesnake country. The guided practice run is free. Parking is $5 per motorized vehicle.
