7th Annual San Francisco Bay Osprey Days   Friday,  JUN  21, 2019
MARE ISLAND HERITAGE TRUST —  Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve
It's our 7th Annual SF Bay Osprey Days! Osprey begin to arrive and begin nest building around mid-February, and by late July the Osprey young begin fledging - so this is a great time to come to Mare Island and experience the Osprey Phenomenon! Come join us for Audubon Society and local field guide led outings to view Osprey on Mare Island, presentations about Osprey, challenges to their nesting sites, workshops on webcams and banding, drawing and more! We are of course open all day as usual (10am til 1 hour past sunset) for you to walk or hike at your own pace for your enjoyment! For more information, please visit our website.

BACKROAD VINES —  BackRoad Vines
One of the unique aspects of Suisun Valley’s BackRoad Vines is their BOCCE COURTS! The Bocce Ball courts are open to the public during regular tasting hours. The winery also hosts a bocce league! Are you interested in joining the Bocce Ball League? All levels of experience are welcome and new leagues start every quarter. Each team consists of 4 players. CITY OF FAIRFIELD —  Rockville Hills Regional Park
The Rockville Trail Crew volunteer work days are scheduled for the third Saturday of every month from 9-12noon, rain or shine! Trail Crew volunteers provide technical assistance with trail maintenance and construction activities on the trails. Trail Crew volunteer duties consist of clearing rocks, trees, brush and other debris from proposed trail routes; build/repair walk ways, bridges or other structures; grade/fill existing trail paths to ensure user safety; and attend all required meetings and training sessions. Volunteers should bring water, gloves and a tool if available. Volunteers should wear layered clothing and sturdy shoes. A snack and beverage provided for volunteers. Meet at the parking area.
