BENICIA STATE PARKS ASSOCIATION —  Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden
We meet every Saturday from 9:30-11:30am in the Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden located at the Benicia State Park Recreation Area for planting, weeding, and tending. Parking is free on Saturday Volunteer Days. Tell the Gate Attendant that you are going into the Park to work at the Garden.

PEÑA ADOBE HISTORICAL SOCIETY & RUSH RANCH EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL —  Peña Adobe Park
The Peña Adobe Historical Society will celebrate the “Independence Day Weekend” on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lunch and western entertainment! Help us celebrate Independence Day Weekend this year with lunch catered by Vacaville’s Vasquez Deli! Enjoy enchiladas, rice, beans, chips and salsa and don’t forget to leave room for cake! Lunch tickets are available for a $10.00 donation and are limited so hurry and get yours today! Buy your ticket online. Ever wonder why Lake Berryessa was created? How much water it holds? What was there before the reservoir? Where the water goes? Get answers to these questions and more when you meet a Park Ranger at Monticello Dam every Saturday throughout the summer. Stop by any time between 12 and 3 p.m. to learn fun facts about this essential water resource. Please contact a Park Ranger at 707-966-2111 ext. 113 with questions.
