BOW Women’s Pheasant Hunt Weekend   Saturday,  SEP  30, 2017

CALIFORNIA WATERFOWL ASSOCIATION —  Birds Landing Hunting Preserve and Sporting Clays
Becoming an Outdoors-Woman -- Ever think you'd like to try hunting but just don't know how to get started? If so, this is the event for you. Get your hunter safety, learn about shotgun shooting and go on a guided pheasant hunt all in one weekend with minimal investment of time and money. All guns, ammunition, targets, hunting license, upland stamp, birds, ear and eye protection included. Just sign up, prepare by doing the online hunter safety training and show up. CWA's certified instructors and dedicated volunteers will take it from there. You will also enjoy the camraderie and networking with other lady hunters by staying overnight at CWA's property on Saturday night. Open to ages 18 and up. This is a two-day event: Sep 30 (9A to 4P) through Oct 1 (7A to 1P). Fees include meals and lodging, online course, and Hunting License & CA Upland Stamp. We'll work from 9 am to Noon. No experience necessary. Tools and instruction provided. Bring gloves if you have them. BENICIA STATE PARKS ASSOCIATION —  Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden
We meet every Saturday from 9:30-11:30am in the Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden located at the Benicia State Park Recreation Area for planting, weeding, and tending. Parking is free on Saturday Volunteer Days. Tell the Gate Attendant that you are going into the Park to work at the Garden.
