An email is sent out each week describing the destination for the upcoming trip. Car-poolers will share driving expenses (recommended $.40/mi to be split by the number of riders). A Walk at Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve

10:00 AM SIERRA CLUB REDWOOD CHAPTER — Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve Start the Labor Day weekend off right with a moderate walk past a historic cemetery and some abandoned bunkers, up to the top of Mare Island. We'll take in great views of the Carquinez Strait, San Pablo Bay, Mt. Tam and Mt. Diablo. Vallejo never looked so good. Bring sturdy shoes, water, hat, sunscreen, and a snack. $5 suggested donation for the Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve's conservation efforts. Class: M-3-A.
