Levee Walking Trail
The Levee Walking Trail offers a just-a-little-above-water-level view of the Suisun Bay.
The trail begins about where the I-680 north-bound bridge comes ashore.
There are several picnic tables close to the beginning of the trail.
The tules are the main plant along the levee, but on occasion you can see flowers such as this sweet white clover.
A place to sit and enjoy the view.
On the inland side of the levee are parking lots with vehicles recently shipped into the Port of Benicia.
The levee provides a great view of the Mothball Fleet.
The end of the trail has more picnic facilities.
The vista towards the east stretches for miles into the California Delta.
