Eagles, Hawks & other Birds of Prey Tour    Saturday,  JAN  22, 2011
10:00 AM

SOLANO LAND TRUST —  Lynch Canyon
Join raptor expert Larry Broderick to see eagles, hawks, falcons, owls, and other birds of prey in the skies above Lynch Canyon. You’ll learn identification, behavior, and ecology of these majestic birds. Broderick has 25 years of experience studying raptors, and he loves to share his insights in an entertaining way. Lynch Canyon has beautiful vistas and it’s closed to the public until February 11, 2011, so take advantage of this special opportunity to visit!

Meet at 10am sharp (gate locks behind us) at the Lynch Canyon entrance gate: Intersection of Lynch Road & McGary Road, Vallejo, CA. Bring water, snack or bag lunch, and binoculars. Be prepared for variable weather (bring layered clothes and protection from both sun and wind). All ages are welcome. You must be able to hike four miles at a moderate pace, up and down steep hills. No dogs. Donations are requested but not required. Heavy rain cancels. For more information contact Natalie at 707-432-0150 x200 or volunteer@SolanoLandTrust.org.
