9:00 AM VALLEJO WATERSHED ALLIANCE Hanns Park Prepare the native grass meadow and surrounding area for the upcoming planting season; we’ll collect acorns if they’re ready! We will also prepare a path for spring field trips, so the meadow is protected while the students learn about creeks and native plants. Wear sturdy clothes and shoes, hat, sunscreen and gloves. Park in the Hanns Park parking lot on Skyline off Redwood. Follow signs a short walk to the meeting point. We’ll bring tools and free refreshments. 9:00 AM CITY OF FAIRFIELD Rockville Hills Regional Park The Rockville Trail Crew volunteer work days are scheduled for the third Saturday of every month from 9-12noon, rain or shine! Trail Crew volunteers provide technical assistance with trail maintenance and construction activities on the trails. Trail Crew volunteer duties consist of clearing rocks, trees, brush and other debris from proposed trail routes; build/repair walk ways, bridges or other structures; grade/fill existing trail paths to ensure user safety; and attend all required meetings and training sessions. Volunteers should bring water, gloves and a tool if available. Volunteers should wear layered clothing and sturdy shoes. A snack and beverage provided for volunteers. Meet at the parking area. Horse Day at McIntyre Ranch

10:00 AM GVRD McIntyre Ranch For ages 8-17 -- Learn about the friendly horses and goats, and participate in their daily care. Wear sturdy work clothes and tough shoes because this is a "hand-on" experience. You will put a halter on a horse, learn to lead horses safely, brush them, clean their feet and clean their stalls. Everyone will have a chance to sit on a horse (helmet are required and provided, keep hairstyle simple for easy fit). Kids will receive a souvenit t-shirt! 10:00 AM BAY AREA ELECTRIC RAILROAD ASSOCIATION Western Railway Museum Gather the family and begin at the Western Railway Museum. The first electric express train leaves at 10:00 AM with departures every half-hour until 4pm. The ride on a historic life-sized electric train takes visitors back in time on a scenic five-mile trip to Gum Grove Station, a wooded glen far from the trappings of modern life. Local Rotarians from the Fairfield-Suisun, Cordelia, and Dixon Rotary Clubs are rallying together to make the event a success, providing a hay bale fort, food, tractor rides, music, games and of course, pumpkins for sale, just in time for Halloween. Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors (65 and up), and $9 for children (ages 2 –14). Prices include admission to the Museum and to the Pumpkin Patch, unlimited train rides, use of the Museum's spacious and shaded picnic grounds, and free parking. Please note that there are no advanced reservations. All proceeds benefit the Western Railway Museum (a nonprofit educational institution) and the local Rotary Clubs who provide thousands of dollars to local community and youth activities each year. Get the Rush is a series of fun activities for the whole family, offered on the third Saturday of every month. Activities offered by trained volunteers may include a guided walk alongside tidal marsh and through upland grasses, a traditional blacksmith shop in action, an interpretive display of Native American tools and decorations, or horse-drawn wagon rides that are wheelchair accessible. The Haunted Hike

6:30 PM CITY OF FAIRFIELD Rockville Hills Regional Park Join us Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 for a frightful night as we bring fiction, folklore, and fear to Rockville Hills Regional Park. This year the park will be transformed into an Insane Asylum where the spirits of the patients and doctors who walked the halls will haunt those who dare to enter. Let the terror begin... Hikes run every 10 minutes starting at 6:30PM. Children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Regular hikes are not recommended for those under age 13. PG hikes are available--call for times (PG rating indicates that parental guidance is required as parents may consider some material unsuitable for their children due to costumes and props.) Fee is $6 per person for those age 6 or older. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED and space is limited. Registrations WILL NOT be taken onsite.
