Blue Rock Springs Creek Cleanup   Saturday,  OCT  16, 2021

VALLEJO WATERSHED ALLIANCE —  Blue Rock Springs Creek Corridor
Join us in a cleanup along Blue Rock Springs Creek in Vallejo! It’s a family-friendly event, open to all ages and abilities. Park at the Wardlaw Dog & Skate Park parking lot, then follow the path behind the dog park and cross the bridge. Wear comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, hat, gloves and sunscreen. Bring a bucket and a refillable water bottle if you have them. We’ll provide tools, water and refreshments. See you there! Participants under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult and have a waiver signed by parent or guardian. Mindful Meditation and Yoga Hike   Saturday,  OCT  16, 2021

SOLANO LAND TRUST —  Rush Ranch
Join us for a socially distanced, 30-minute Mindful Meditation with Barbara Fredericks at Rush Ranch, followed by a yoga hike. Participants must bring their own folding chair. We will be led through seated meditation surrounded by fresh air and the beautiful bird songs of Rush Ranch. (The hike is optional.) Registration is required online. BENICIA STATE PARKS ASSOCIATION —  Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden
We meet every Saturday from 9:30-11:30am in the Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden located at the Benicia State Park Recreation Area for planting, weeding, and tending. Parking is free on Saturday Volunteer Days. Tell the Gate Attendant that you are going into the Park to work at the Garden.

FRIENDS OF LOMA VISTA FARM —  Loma Vista Farm
Where can you find pumpkins for sale, animals to enjoy, plants to buy, crafts to make, a cute train to ride and a fun puppet show? You can find all this from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 16, 2021 at Loma Vista Farm’s Harvest Festival! Admission to the festival and fun for the whole family are free. Prices for the individual activities vary.

Rush Ranch 'Get the Rush'   Saturday,  OCT  16, 2021

SOLANO LAND TRUST & RUSH RANCH EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL —  Rush Ranch
Get the Rush is a series of fun and free activities for the whole family, offered on the third Saturday of every month at Rush Ranch. All ages and mobility levels are welcome! This event is put on by our dedicated volunteers and activities vary month-to-month. Participants may arrive at 10am for the Science Discovery labs or the docent-led walk alongside the marsh at 10:30. Registration is required. For more information or to register, visit us online.

Pumpkin Patch Festival    Saturday,  OCT  16, 2021

BAY AREA ELECTRIC RAILROAD ASSOCIATION —  Western Railway Museum
Experience the Solano County of yesteryear along the Western Railway Museum's electric train tracks. Enjoy the rolling hills as you travel to and from the Pumpkin Patch Festival. At the Pumpkin Patch, you can purchase your pumpkins, as well as snacks, drinks and other homemade specialties. There are plenty of activities at the pumpkin patch such as tractor rides, field maze, pumpkin chucking, petting zoo, pony rides and the giant hay bale fortress. All proceeds benefit the Western Railway Museum (a nonprofit educational institution) and the local Rotary Clubs who provide thousands of dollars to local community and youth activities each year. Non-member admission process are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors (65 and up), and $15 for children (ages 2 –14). Members prices are discounted. Prices include admission to the Museum and to the Pumpkin Patch, unlimited train rides, use of the Museum's spacious and shaded picnic grounds, and free parking. Tickets are available at the door or you may purchase them in advance online.
