9:00 AM PUTAH CREEK COUNCIL Lake Solano County Park Join Putah Creek Council on a day of planting native plants at Lake Solano Park! After the LNU Lightning Complex Fire, many slopes in Lake Solano Park's campground were left burned and bare. We will be planting trees, shrubs, and sedges, as well as seeding wildflowers, in the campground area to help revegetate post-fire. Native plants and trees improve water quality, habitat for birds, small mammals, and beneficial insects, and help prevent soil erosion. Join us and get your gloves dirty! We'll be meeting at 9:00 am Lake Solano Park Nature Center and work until noon. Please dress appropriately for the weather in clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. Don't forget your water bottle. If you are under 18, you MUST bring a completed liability form with a parent's signature. For more details, to register, or to get a liability form, visit us online. Location: 8685 Pleasants Valley Road Winters DIRECTIONS: Lake Solano Park straddles Pleasants Valley Road, north of Vacaville and near the town of Winters.
