An email is sent out each week describing the destination for the upcoming trip. If you would like to be added to the email list for Friday Bird Walks, you can submit your information on our sign-up page. Car-poolers will share driving expenses (recommended $.30/mi to be split by the number of riders). 5:00 PM MARE ISLAND HERITAGE TRUST — Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve Every weekend evening Friday–Sunday November 25, 2011 to New Years Day 2012 and Thanksgiving evening, 5:00pm-8:00pm. Rain or shine! Walk our paved trail with holiday lighting to the Naval Cemetery, Rowser Garden, and the Spirit Ship. Festivities begin at Texas & Madison Streets, rain or shine! Tree-lighting Ceremony, candlelight caroling, horse-drawn wagon rides, Christmas Candy Land scavenger hunt for children 13 and under, live performances, free train rides, holiday vendors, business open house, visits with Santa.
