Rush Ranch 'Get the Rush'   Saturday,  FEB  16, 2013
10:00 AM

SOLANO LAND TRUST AND RUSH RANCH EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL —  Rush Ranch
Get the Rush is a series of fun and free activities designed for families—all ages and mobility levels are welcome! November through March: The blacksmith shop remains open for visitors! The wagons are in storage for the winter. Other activities are dependent on volunteer availability and the weather. As part of this month's Get the Rush series, join volunteers and special guest Sarah Ferner for a guided walk at Rush Ranch. Take advantage of this opportunity and bring the whole family if you can because Sarah is a fun and engaging speaker for all ages, and she's a marsh expert with the San Francisco Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Use all five senses as you travel alongside the tidal marsh and through the upland grasses. Learn why Rush Ranch is locally loved and nationally famous! Rain or shine, meet at the wall map just outside the entrance to the Nature Center. (Sarah and team will guide you through the Nature Center exhibit if it's raining too hard to walk). Bring: water, snacks or picnic lunch, bug repellent. Be prepared for variable weather by bringing layered clothes, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and protection from sun, wind, fog, and rain. Optional: binoculars, camera.

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 12 in Suisun City, take Grizzly Island Road south approximately 2 miles. Entrance/driveway will be on the right.
