SOLANO COUNTY PARKS —  Lake Solano County Park
Learn about the plants of Putah Creek and Lake Solano on a leisurely stroll with volunteer Barbara Cooper. Because of its location precisely where the coastal foothills meet the Central Valley, this area's waterway, woods, and grasses are home to an especially wide variety of plants and animals. Learn about plants that wildlife need for food and shelter, that the Patwin Indians used for food and medicine, and that we benefit from today. All ages welcome! Lake Solano Park is an ideal place for you and your family to picnic, camp, and canoe, as well as hike, bicycle, and watch wildlife. WHAT TO BRING: $5 cash for parking, water, sturdy, close-toed shoes, protection from sun (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen).
