MARE ISLAND HERITAGE TRUST — Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve It's our 6th Annual SF Bay Osprey Days! Osprey begin to arrive and begin nest building around mid-February, and by late July the Osprey young begin fledging - so this is a great time to come to Mare Island and experience the Osprey Phenomenon! Come join us for Audubon Society and local field guide led outings to view Osprey on Mare Island, presentations about Osprey, challenges to their nesting sites, workshops on webcams and banding, drawing and more! We are of course open all day as usual (10am - til 1 hour past sunset) for you to walk or hike at your own pace for your enjoyment! For more information, please visit our website. CWA Youth Hunter Camp Level 1

4:00 PM CALIFORNIA WATERFOWL ASSOCIATION — Grizzly Ranch Youth ages 10-17 who do not yet have a hunter education certificate are invited to join California Waterfowl at our hunter camp featuring five days packed with outdoor fun. CWA packs our hunter conservation camps with activities. The campers are active and outside most of the day, learning a wide range of hunting skills from certified instructors. We teach kids how to shoot shotguns, rifles and bows. We teach them about duck calling and duck banding. There are classes on waterfowl identification and hunting practices and safety. There’s even time for kayaking and fishing. Camp scholarships are available. For more information, visit us online. Registration is required. Location: 4179 Van Sickle Rd Grizzly Island Suisun City DIRECTIONS: Turn onto Grizzly Island Rd from Highway 12 in Suisun City. After 5.4 miles, you will fork right and cross Montezuma Slough Rd. After 3.3 miles turn right onto Van Sickle Rd. (Note: you should see a white fence) After 0.4 miles turn right into Grizzly Ranch. In 0.7 miles, you will arrive at the Ranch.
