8:00 AM FRIENDS OF THE HISTORIC MARE ISLAND NAVAL CEMETERY & RESTORATION COMMITTEE & MARE ISLAND SHORELINE HERITAGE PRESERVE — Historic Mare Island Navy Cemetery, Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve The Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership & Solano County will be hosting a Volunteer National Day of Service at the Mare Island Cemetery. Volunteers will perform general cleanup, painting, sweeping, raking, and trimming overgrown vegetation. This is a great opportunity to volunteer on Monday September 11, 8AM-1PM. You must be 18 or older. Please wear proper attire for cleaning. Please bring gloves, brooms, rakes,shovels and your smile. To register, please sign up online.
