The evening starts with a short presentation in the Rush Ranch Nature Center. The outdoor viewing will begin at dark. Several telescopes will be on hand. Personal binoculars and scopes welcome--please be familiar with your own set-up. Late-comers please dim headlights. Bring: warm clothing, flashlights dimmed with red cellophane, insect repellant. 10:00 AM RUSH RANCH EDUCATIONAL COUNCIL — Rush Ranch Volunteer blacksmith Virgil Sellers will demonstrate traditional blacksmithing tools and equipment in the ranch's historic shop. Little Bear will be on hand with a Native American culture display and to talk about his experiences growing up on a reservation. Access Adventure with Michael Muir shows off the ranch in a horse drawn carriage equipped with a wheelchair lift for persons with limited mobility. Able-bodied riders are also welcome. Program cancels if weather makes it unsafe.
